Digital Storytelling by Symposium participants

Plowshares Theatre Company hosted the symposium, “Motown Records: Made in Detroit,” at the Michigan State University Detroit Center from July 6-8, 2017. With funding from the Michigan Humanities Council, we offered panels and workshops to the general public at no cost.

The symposium provided a historical overview and analysis of Motown records during its golden age in Detroit, 1959-1972, with the following presenters:
